The Readak course is offered at a number of non-public schools worldwide. For specific locations, please see Course Locations.

2. Who should take the Readak program?
Anyone in Grades 5-12 who is enrolled in a host school and wants to become a better reader and student. The program benefits students of all ability and performance levels. Students experiencing academic difficulty thrive on the extra attention, while high achievers appreciate learning how to maximize their talent and save time on assignments. The goal of the program is simple: to help every student reach his or her potential.

3. What does the program emphasize?
The Readak Advanced Learning Skills program places strong emphasis on helping students comprehend and retain different types of academic material. Generally, in order to improve comprehension, students should first understand the positive correlation between reading speed and comprehension. The primary emphasis is on learning how to learn more effectively.

For more information on what goes on inside the classroom, please see the Readak Course Outline.

4. Will my child have more work to do each night?
No! To the contrary, many students will have less work to do each night. By taking the time in Readak to learn new skills, students later apply these skills to their homework and may get more done in less time. There is no homework assigned in Readak. The course does not add to their academic workload, but enhances learning time.

5. Who are the Readak teachers?
Graduates of leading liberal arts colleges and universities with more than 150 hours of specialized training, the Readak teachers are flexible, dedicated, enthusiastic individuals with a sincere concern for their students' progress. Teachers arrive on campus at least one week prior to the first day of class to become familiar with the school and be available to parents and the school community.

6. What do students say about the program?
Nearly all students who complete an evaluation of the program would recommend it to a friend. They realize that these skills are not something which may help "some day." Students see improvement in their reading and study skills during the very first class.
